HERBED CRACKERS
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp fresh herbs (your choice)
2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup cold water
Homemade herbed crackers, where the flavors of fresh herbs, black pepper, and a touch of olive oil come together in each crispy bite.
Preheat your oven to 450°F. In a food processor, combine 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons fresh herbs (like thyme or basil), 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Pulse until evenly mixed. Add 1/2 cup cold water, pulsing for about 10 seconds until a dough forms. Divide the dough into four pieces and let it rest for 10 minutes. Roll each piece as thin as possible and place them on parchment paper on a baking sheet. Bake for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through. Turn off the oven and let them sit inside until they really crisp up. Break into pieces and serve.
