CHOCOLATE BARK
INGREDIENTS
12 ounces dark chocolate (minimum of 70% cacao)
1 ½ tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
Optional:
a handful of pistachios
a dash of aleppo chili pepper
a handful of dried rose petals
Indulge in simple homemade dark chocolate bark ready to be topped with your choice of pistachios, rose petals, Aleppo pepper, or sea salt.
Line a baking pan with wax paper. If you don't have a double-boiler, create one by placing a metal mixing bowl over a pot filled with 1-2 inches of water. Heat the bowl over medium-low heat and combine all ingredients until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Consider reserving some nuts or dried fruits for decoration after the chocolate has cooled. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Get creative with your decoration by adding the leftover nuts. Place the pan in the freezer and chill for about 20 minutes or until the chocolate has set. Once set, break the chocolate bark into pieces and store them in an airtight container or in the freezer.
